Peanut Butter

We have been buying delicious peanut butter (pinda kaas) from Holland, it's like organic peanut butter in the states.  About a week ago we noticed we couldn't find it in our markets and we started to worry.  We began to hunt.  And then this morning I had an impression to stop at a certain market near the beach.  This was a situation where it was important to "never postpone a prompting"........


We think this may be the very last jar of peanut butter available for sale in the city of Praia today.  It was the last one on the shelf.  It isn't the good Dutch kind, but desperate Americans can't be picky.  The good news is there is a Maersk ship unloading containers down at the harbor as I type.  I sincerely hope there is Dutch peanut butter somewhere on that Danish ship.







Thank heavens for ships, and sailors, and the goods they bring us.  What a great excuse to post a photo of one of our favorite sailors and his Danish ship :)
